52 Weeks with Eurasian Artists Guided Journal

52 Weeks with Eurasian Artists: A Weekly Journal Exploring Tradition, Modernity & Cultural Identity

Spend a year exploring artists from across the Asian side of Eurasia, from Anatolia and the Caucasus through Iran, Afghanistan, Central Asia, Siberia and Mongolia. Across painting and sculpture, the journey reveals how artists responded to place, history, cultural inheritance and the pressures of modern life.

Across 52 undated weekly experiences, the journey unfolds through four distinct sections:

Section I — Anatolia & Turkey
Explore the transition from late Ottoman artistic traditions to Republican modernism, where realism, colour and sculpture became new languages for a changing society.

Section II — Iran & Afghanistan
Discover artists working between tradition and modernity, using landscape, memory, symbolism and personal experience amid changing political and cultural conditions.

Section III — The Caucasus
Travel through Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan, where colour, landscape, folklore and experimentation became powerful expressions of place and cultural identity.

Section IV — Central Asia, Siberia & Mongolia
Move through Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Asian Russia and Mongolia, encountering distinctive regional voices across painting and sculpture.

Each week combines a full-page visual opening, a substantial contextual essay and a dedicated fillable Journal Notes page designed to encourage closer observation and personal reflection.
